Dr. Scott McDuffie is a board certified gastroenterologist who joined Sumter Gastroenterology in 1996. Dr. McDuffie graduated from Davidson College and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte and achieved Board Certification in Internal Medicine. Dr. McDuffie completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and earned Board Certification in Gastroenterology, which he maintains. Dr. McDuffie is recognized as a Fellow of the American Gastroenterology Association. He has served as President of the Sumter, Clarendon, Lee Medical Society. and as Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Tuomey Healthcare System.
